Occupational safety – training for working at height

The photo shows a snapshot of the training session: focused work, professional equipment and safety culture in action.

The work of our more than 100 engineers regularly takes them to locations where special safety requirements apply – including working areas at great heights. Whether at large combustion plants, waste incineration plants, industrial chimneys or other facilities requiring approval: work involving a risk of falling is part of everyday life in our field of activity.

This makes it all the more important that all employees work safely, confidently and in accordance with the applicable rules. The relevant standard here is DGUV Rule 112-198 ‘Use of personal protective equipment against falls from a height’, which defines clear guidelines for the selection, use and testing of PPE.

As a measuring facility accredited according to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025 and notified in accordance with § 29b BImSchG (the German Federal Immission Control Act), we have a special responsibility – towards our customers, towards authorities and, above all, towards our employees, who are the real asset of our company.

Regular training ensures safety and routine
To make sure that our teams are optimally prepared in every situation, we conduct regular training courses throughout the country on the safe use of personal protective equipment against falls from a height (PPE). Training is provided exclusively under the guidance of expert trainers who prepare participants for real-life conditions in a practical manner.

A current example:
Colleagues from our Reutlingen branch have recently completed intensive PPE training under the guidance of trainer Marcel Mayer (RopeWorker Mayer). In realistic training scenarios – from climbing ladder systems to rescue procedures – they were trained in safe handling, team interaction and hazard awareness.

Safety is not an option – it is part of our identity
Occupational safety is not only a legal obligation, but also an integral part of our corporate culture. Through continuous training, modern equipment and well-prepared teams, we ensure that our employees can carry out their demanding tasks safely and professionally at all times.
