Flexible accreditation
Flexibility
[Flex A] for the testing areas and the calibration laboratory
The calibration laboratory for acceleration and acoustic measurement quantities, as well as our testing laboratory, have been confirmed by DAkkS (German Accreditation Body) to apply “standardized or equivalent testing procedures and calibration guidelines with different editions” for the procedures listed in the respective certificate annexes.
Which procedures are flexible under category [Flex A]?
Almost all testing procedures of the accredited testing laboratories and selected procedures of the calibration laboratory.
This means the laboratories are authorized to independently verify revised standards (new editions) without requiring changes to the certificate annex (see Accreditations).
For transparency, the procedures currently in use in the laboratories are available here (“Current Procedures”):
Accredited Testing Laboratories
- Sound and Vibrations
Registration number: D-PL-14119-01-01 (Current Procedures)
- Electromagnetic Fields and Light
Registration numbers: D-PL-14119-01-02 and D-PL-14119-01-04 (Current Procedures)
- Environmental Impact Control (Immissionsschutz)
Registration number: D-PL-14119-01-01 (Current Procedures)
- Hazardous Substance Measurements
Registration numbers: D-PL-14119-01-01 and D-PL-14119-01-03 (Current Procedures)
Accredited Calibration Laboratory
- Calibration laboratory for acceleration and acoustic measurement quantities
Registration number: D-K-14119-01-00 (Current Procedures)
Flexibility Category [Flex B]
For a small number of procedures in the testing area of sound and vibrations (D‑PL-14119-01-01), flexibility under category [Flex B] has been confirmed by DAkkS.
Under this category, the testing laboratory is permitted to “freely select standardized or equivalent testing procedures within a defined testing scope.”
Flexibility under category [Flex B] specifically refers to the ability to adapt to different machine types and machine-specific measurement requirements.
Examples of machine-specific standards are listed both in the certificate annex and in the “Current Procedures” list.
