On 17th and 18th September 2025, the 22nd Müller-BBM Expert Discussions took place at Victor's Residenz-Hotel in Berlin – and once again it became clear how important immission control is to the current challenges in planning and approval.
With around 70 participants from public authorities, industry and science, the event was not only well attended, but also characterised by lively discussions, practical presentations and an intensive exchange of experiences.
Opening by Joachim Bittner
In his opening speech, managing director Joachim Bittner emphasised the relevance of immission control in a political and economic context:
„In the current legislative period, politicians and economists are formulating goals and demands that also pose challenges for immission control. Accelerating approval procedures is only possible with professional expertise – both on the part of the operators and the authorities.“
He emphasised the need not only to observe developments, but also to actively put them into practice:
„The challenge is to understand current developments and put them into practice. The expert discussions provide the ideal basis for this.”
Professional inspiration and exchange
As always, the presentations covered a broad spectrum of topics in the fields of noise pollution control, technical acoustics and air pollution control. The opportunity to talk directly with experts and discuss specific issues was particularly appreciated.
Conclusion
The 22nd Müller-BBM Expert Discussions once again demonstrated how important technical dialogue is for the further development of immission control. We would like to thank all participants for their commitment and look forward to the next conference on 18th/19th March 2026 in Munich.
