Invitation
The demands placed on local transit operators in the areas of climate protection, sustainability, and documentation are increasing significantly—technically, regulatorily, and organizationally. Environmental considerations are increasingly becoming key factors in investment decisions, operational organization, and maintenance strategies.
Against this backdrop, our sister company Müller-BBM Rail Technologies GmbH cordially invites you to the 3rd Symposium on “Environmental Aspects in Local Rail Transport” on June 18, 2026, in Planegg. The aim of the event is to contextualize current regulatory developments and shed light on their practical implementation in day-to-day operations. The event is being organized in cooperation with Müller-BBM Industry Solutions GmbH, FCP IBU GmbH, and FCP Fritsch, Chiari & Partner ZT GmbH.
The conference combines methodological and legal requirements—such as those related to climate protection, accounting, and documentation—with concrete solutions from planning, operations, and maintenance. The focus is on organizational concepts, measurement and evaluation methods, and digital tools that create transparency and make decisions more reliable.
A particular focus is on how environmental requirements can be not only met but also strategically and economically integrated. Using practical examples, experiences from the infrastructure and operational sectors will be presented and discussed. In addition, the symposium serves as a professional development opportunity for employees in operations, planning, environmental management, and engineering. You will gain a concise, well-founded overview of current developments as well as concrete suggestions for application within your own area of responsibility.
The symposium is aimed at decision-makers and experts from local transit agencies, municipalities, public authorities, planning and engineering firms who wish to implement environmental requirements in a sustainable manner and further develop their organizations professionally.
