Major Accident Prevention Plan

A major accident prevention plan must be drawn up for an operational area (lower and upper class) in accordance with Section 8 of the Major Accidents Ordinance (StörfallV). It essentially sets out how the operator is to deal with the potential hazards arising from its operational area. The minimum information that must be included in a concept for the prevention of major accidents is specified in Section 8 in conjunction with Annex III of the StörfallV.
