Strategic Environmental Assessment

A Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) must be carried out for major planning processes with significant environmental implications, such as federal transport infrastructure planning, regional planning and local development planning, or planning in the fields of water and waste management, air quality control and noise protection. The environmental report is a key element of the SEA.
