On June 24 and 25, Müller-BBM Industry Solutions once again co-hosted the two-day KUMAS conference in Augsburg. The aim of the event was to discuss current developments in environmental and immission control legislation, permitting procedures, and plant safety.

Particular focus was placed on the implementation of the revised Industrial Emissions Directive (IED), new requirements for environmental management systems, and opportunities to accelerate permitting processes. The use of artificial intelligence to support approval and certification procedures was also addressed.

Several of our colleagues attended the event and actively contributed to the program. Our colleague Olaf Treusch participated as a speaker, presenting on plant safety in the context of environmental and immission control regulations.

Beyond the presentations, we also engaged directly with industry professionals and stakeholders. With around 120 participants, the conference once again provided an excellent platform for in-depth discussions on current topics – from environmental and immission control legislation and permitting procedures to technical developments and practical solutions.

We are already looking forward to the next Immission Control Days in 2027.
