As of July 1, 2024, two new members will join Dr. Peter Romanow on the Executive Board of Müller-BBM AG. Norbert Suritsch and Josef Hobelsberger will hand over their responsibilities to Joachim Bittner and Dr. Rolf Schirmacher.

Peter Romanow will assume the role of Chairman of the Executive Board.

All three board members will retain their managing director positions in subsidiaries of Müller-BBM AG and will continue to lead their respective business areas.

The two new board members have been highly successful in various roles within the Müller-BBM Group for over 20 years and have held significant management responsibilities in recent years. “We are confident that this new structure, with very experienced colleagues, will ensure the continued successful development of the Müller-BBM Group. By combining operational management responsibilities in the three business areas of the Müller-BBM Group with joint board duties at Müller-BBM AG, we ensure that the Group’s broad and highly successful structure is competently represented in the future Executive Board,” explains Prof. Dr.-Ing. Gerhard Müller, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Müller-BBM AG.

Norbert Suritsch has been instrumental in expanding Müller-BBM’s scope of activities beyond acoustics into the field of environmentally relevant emissions. Since 1992, he has held overarching responsibilities—initially as an authorized signatory, then as a proxy holder, and 20 years ago as Managing Director of Müller-BBM GmbH. In 2013, he continued his work within the Müller-BBM Group as Chairman of the then holding company, at times holding dual roles as Managing Director—first at the engineering office Müller-BBM, later at Müller-BBM Projektmanagement, and temporarily at BBM Akustik Technologie. He is now entering a well-deserved retirement.

Josef Hobelsberger played a key role in developing the PAK measurement and analysis system in the 1980s. Since the founding of Müller-BBM VibroAkustik Systeme GmbH, he has served continuously as Managing Director for 27 years and, since 2013, as a member of the Executive Board. During his transition to retirement, he will continue to support Müller-BBM AG by taking on various tasks in close coordination with the Executive Board.

The Supervisory Board and Executive Board thank Norbert Suritsch and Josef Hobelsberger for their outstanding commitment, forward-looking decisions, and significant contributions to the successful and sustainable development of the Müller-BBM Group.
