"Immission control is a historically evolved asset that must not be sacrificed lightly!"

The exchange of experiences between representatives from authorities, municipalities, operators, and consultants has meanwhile established itself in the professional community as a key fixture in the fields of land-use planning, noise emission control, and air pollution control.

Dr. Monika Kratzer, Head of Department for Climate Protection, Technical Environmental Protection, and Circular Economy, and Ministerial Director at the Bavarian State Ministry for the Environment and Consumer Protection, opened the 18th Müller-BBM Expert Talks on March 15–16, 2023, with a video greeting.

In her message, Dr. Monika Kratzer used the opportunity not only to call for the preservation of emission control, but also to remind participants that “we are an industrial country and must handle this status responsibly” and that “conflicts of use due to densification are inevitable.” Even under these circumstances, “the protection of high values such as the environment and health must remain a strong priority.”

The 80 participants from authorities, municipalities, plant operators, and consulting firms used the two-day conference with engaging expert presentations for intensive professional exchange on the current state of emission control in planning and approval practice.

The event was once again moderated by the managing directors of Müller-BBM Industry Solutions GmbH, Joachim Bittner and Walter Grotz.

The next Müller-BBM Expert Talks will take place on October 11–12, 2023 in Berlin and on March 20–21, 2024 in Munich.

The video recording of Dr. Monika Kratzer’s greeting is available.
