The research colloquium on concrete road construction 2025, to be held in Stuttgart on 6th and 7th February 2025, will bring together experts from science and industry to discuss current developments and challenges in road construction. The focus is on sustainable construction methods, innovative materials and optimising road surfaces.
For many years, Müller-BBM Industry Solutions GmbH has been a partner to road construction companies when it comes to the acoustic optimisation of road surfaces. We are pleased to support the event as a diamond sponsor. In addition, we will be represented with a stand at the industrial exhibition and our colleague Stefan Schubert will give a presentation on the role of surface structures for noise reduction and driving comfort.
His lecture ‘Horizontal grinding of concrete & asphalt in the context of noise reduction’ shows how precise grinding techniques not only improve the road surface texture, but can also make a measurable contribution to reducing traffic noise.
The lecture traces the development and application of this method and illustrates its potential to both increase the quality of life along traffic routes and promote sustainable construction methods. These techniques not only represent a technological innovation, but also emphasise the importance of interdisciplinary approaches that combine environmental and traffic requirements.
The research colloquium thus offers a platform for learning about future-oriented solutions in road construction that meet the challenges of climate change, noise protection and resource efficiency.
