Interference-free measurement conditions at the nanoscale

At the Center for Applied Quantum Technology (ZAQuant) at the University of Stuttgart, research conditions are being created at the highest level: four nearly fully decoupled precision measurement rooms enable parallel experiments at the nanoscale.

The challenge: Extremely low tolerances for vibrations and magnetic fields – despite the close spatial integration of different research areas.

Our contribution: With our expertise in structural dynamics and electromagnetic fields, we specifically optimized the boundary conditions – through vibration-isolated special foundations and effective magnetic shielding.
