Health and safety is a top priority at Müller-BBM Industry Solutions GmbH. This is why our newly recruited colleagues from the emissions measurement department recently took part in a two-day basic training course on the use of personal protective equipment against falls from a height (PPE) in accordance with DGUV-R 112-198 and DGUV-R 112-199.
The theoretical and practical training was professionally carried out by RopeWorker Mayer. The aim of the training was to prepare participants for the safe and practical use of various fall arrest systems and rescue techniques. In the course of the training, they learnt to recognise and assess hazardous situations and to prevent them by taking appropriate measures.
The training programme covered, among other things, the legal framework, materials science relating to modern fall protection systems, and key aspects of accident prevention and rescue procedures. Particular emphasis was placed on the safe use of the equipment under realistic conditions.
The second day of training was entirely devoted to practical exercises. Under the motto ‘Working at height is teamwork’, various operational and rescue scenarios were practised on a disused ski lift. This enabled the participants to put their knowledge into immediate practice and gain valuable experience for future operations at industrial sites.
All participants brought their own personal protective equipment, which had been tested in accordance with DGUV G 312-906 and met the requirements of their respective workplaces.
Through regular training and continuing education programmes, we make targeted investments in the safety of our staff and lay the foundations for high-quality and safe services for our customers. This is because professional qualifications, a high level of responsibility and health and safety go hand in hand at Müller-BBM Industry Solutions right from the start.
