Climate adaptation

The aim of adapting to global warming is to adjust to both climate changes that have already occurred and those expected in the future in such a way that potential damage can be largely avoided and emerging opportunities can be exploited. This adaptation can be reactive or proactive and affects both natural and social systems. This is also referred to as climate adaptation or adaptation to climate change. Its overarching aim is to strengthen climate resilience.
