German Federal Immission Control Act (BImSchG)

Act on the Protection against Harmful Environmental Effects Caused by Air Pollution, Noise, Vibrations, and Similar Phenomena (Federal Immission Control Act – BImSchG). It is intended to protect humans, wild and domestic animals, and plants, as well as the soil, water, atmosphere, climate, and cultural and other material assets from harmful environmental impacts, to prevent the occurrence of harmful environmental impacts, and to avoid and reduce harmful environmental impacts caused by emissions into the air, water, and soil.
