Measurement of existing pollution levels

Subject to approval of the competent authority, it is not necessary to determine existing pollution levels by means of separate measurements if, following an analysis of the results from monitoring stations within the federal states’ air quality monitoring networks and following an assessment or determination of additional pollution, or on the basis of other findings, it is established that the air quality limits for the relevant pollutant will be complied with at the location of highest pollution following the commissioning of the respective plant.
