Measurement of inorganic fibrous particles (e.g. asbestos), VDI 3492

This guideline describes a method for determining the fibre concentration of inorganic fibrous particles in indoor or outdoor air and their classification into specific fibre classes (chrysotile, amphibole asbestos, calcium sulphate, other inorganic fibres). Fibre counting and fibre allocation are performed using the SEM/EDXA method (scanning electron microscope/energy dispersive X-ray analysis).
