METRAS

Metras is a model developed by the University of Hamburg for calculating mesoscale, prognostic, non-hydrostatic atmospheric flows. The model complies with the requirements of VDI 3783 Part 7 for the calculation of wind fields in steep terrain. Wind fields for dispersion calculations in accordance with TA Luft and GIRL are generated in complex topography using METRAS.
