Risks at the workplace

The Occupational Safety and Health Act requires employers to assess working conditions and, in doing so, to identify hazards. They must evaluate the risks to employees, devise appropriate measures, verify their effectiveness and adjust them where necessary. Furthermore, the entire risk assessment process and its results must be carefully documented. The risk assessment thus forms the basis for all workplace health and safety measures.
