The conference was held under the motto "Connections for a Better Sounding World" and thus set a clear signal for international cooperation and innovation in the field of acoustics. The aim was to improve the quality of life through better acoustic environments - whether in cities, vehicles, workspaces or industry.
Our colleagues not only attended the conference, but also played an active role in shaping it - with specialist presentations, session chairs and their own exhibition stand.
Together with Ulf Sandberg, Sonia Alves led the session Acoustics of Vehicles, Tires and Pavements. They presented the study "Noise Reduction of Road Surfaces with Horizontal Grinding", in which Nikolas Kirchhoff, Stefan Schubert and Sonia Alves showed how horizontal grinding of road surfaces contributes to noise reduction.
Christine Huth and Vitor Almeida coordinated the session Ground Transportation and Industrial Noise, which dealt with the detection, modeling and reduction of traffic and industrial noise.
A special highlight was our stand no. 12 in the exhibition area: Michael Mosch presented our mobile Class 1 sound level measurement solution acoustIQ. Visitors were able to see the precision and flexibility of the system for themselves. The response was consistently positive: numerous discussions revolved around the future of flexible acoustic workflows - and it became clear that the need for mobile, reliable measurement solutions continues to grow.
Inter-Noise 2025 was a complete success for Müller-BBM - professionally, internationally and personally. A big thank you to everyone involved for their commitment!
