The Act on Protection against Aircraft Noise ensures the protection of the general public and local residents from unacceptably high levels of aircraft noise in the vicinity of airports through building use restrictions and structural noise protection measures. In addition to trigger levels for noise protection zones, the associated regulations include a calculation method for forecasting aircraft noise.
