Cultural heritage and tangible assets as objects of protection

Cultural heritage refers in particular to the physical manifestations of culture in the landscape and to architectural and archaeological monuments. Other tangible assets include, for example, structures that are of particular significance to people or the general public, or that fulfil a specific function (e.g. key infrastructure facilities such as rail or road links).
