EIA obligation

Projects which, due to their characteristics, are classified under Annex 1 of the Environmental Impact Assessment Act and marked with an ‘X’ are subject to the obligation to carry out an official environmental impact assessment; to this end, the project developer must submit an EIA report. An EIA obligation also applies if a preliminary EIA assessment indicates that a project could cause significant adverse environmental effects.
