Fire safety statement

A fire safety statement is a non-regulatory assessment of fire safety aspects outside the scope of a standard building code approval process. In consultation with the relevant authorities, it provides a simplified review of specific aspects of fire safety under building codes, provided that the proposed modifications do not trigger an approval process. Under certain circumstances, it may be regarded as a supplement to the fire safety certificate or fire safety concept. However, this always requires coordination with the relevant authorities.
