Ozone

Ozone, a colourless and toxic gas, is one of the most important trace gases in the atmosphere. The natural ozone layer, which is found at an altitude of 20 to 30 kilometres in the atmosphere, protects the earth from the sun’s harmful ultraviolet radiation. The harmful effects of ozone include reduced lung function, inflammatory reactions in the airways and respiratory symptoms.
