Polarity profile

Profile created by combining guided associations with a concept (fragrance, stench) or with the odour of a facility (e.g. from a bakery, sewage treatment plant) and the evaluation of these, which describes the association that a tester makes with the odour stimulus, using pairs of adjectives (strong – weak, cold – warm, stimulating – relaxing, pleasant – unpleasant, etc.) (VDI 3940 Sheet 4).
