Our testing laboratory in Planegg has successfully completed the extension of its accreditation in accordance with DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025. The German Accreditation Body (DAkkS) has issued an updated accreditation certificate for the testing laboratory D-PL-14119-01-00. This officially confirms our laboratory’s technical competence in additional analytical methods.
New additions to the accredited scope include the analysis of crystalline mineral dusts in accordance with IFA 8522 (quartz, II/95) and the determination of organic compounds in indoor air in accordance with DIN ISO 16000-6. These include, in particular, volatile organic compounds (VOCs), which may be present in the indoor air of new buildings or following renovation work.
This expansion is of particular significance for building owners and planners, as well as for the construction of buildings. Accredited VOC analyses form an important basis for assessing indoor air quality and are regularly required as part of building certification schemes such as DGNB and BNB. As these tests are now carried out in an accredited manner, we can offer our customers a comprehensive range of analytical services from a single source, backed by proven quality assurance.
This expansion also opens up additional opportunities in the field of occupational health and safety. The accredited determination of quartz dust helps companies to reliably monitor exposure to respirable quartz dust and to implement legal requirements and preventative measures in a well-founded manner.
