Battery storage

A battery storage system is a stationary energy storage device based on rechargeable batteries and/or capacitors. Key parameters include power (in watts) and storage capacity (in watt-hours). In commercial applications, battery storage systems with particularly high capacity are used. Several battery storage systems can be interconnected to form a battery storage power plant, achieving storage capacities in the three-digit megawatt-hour (MWh) range.
